An Accelerated-Decomposition Approach for Security-Constrained Unit Commitment With Corrective Network Reconfiguration

Security-constrained unit commitment (SCUC) model is used for power system day-ahead scheduling. However, current SCUC uses a static network to deliver and meet demand optimally. A dynamic can provide lower optimal cost alleviate congestion. due the computational complexity lack of effective algorithms, reconfiguration has not been included in yet. This paper presents novel approach handle security-constrained with corrective (CNR) while considering scalability through accelerated-decomposition fast screening non-critical sub-problems SCUC-CNR. The proposed provides substantial benefits also applicable SCUC. Simulation results on IEEE 24-bus show that methods are substantially faster without loss solution quality demonstrated using larger cases: 73-bus system, 118-bus Polish system.
